Bio

Proud Ohio native with an overactive imagination, perfect for creating art and geeking out over history. Graduated with a double major in Studio Art and History because one without the other seemed unnatural and worth the extra work.

My (ideal) plans are to illustrate history and make it more interesting to those who would otherwise dismiss it. I want people to see what I create and then go find out about that historical era or event, be it what people wore or what conflicts were occurring. It is my belief that art can help people visualize the importance and impact of history, and vice versa.

Currently working but looking to start a real career and share my passions with anyone who is willing to stop and observe.

Favorite Mediums

Acrylic and oil paint, digital art (Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter), pencil/graphite, and charcoal. I have also dabbled in markers, colored pencils, and watercolor.

Favorite Subjects

Fairy tales, mythology, and historical. The female form and the occasional animal sidekicks are what I am initially drawn to when I don't know what to do next. And if I'm really stuck, I doodle eyes.

Inspiration

Art Styles: Japanese animation and manga, Disney, the masters, and various artists found on YouTube and DeviantArt

Historical Periods: anything pre-modern, especially early American history, ancient Greece/Rome, Renaissance, Medieval
